[DAWN] Quetta police on Sunday lodged a case against unidentified accused over charges of throwing acid on two women in the city's Railway Housing Society area, DawnNewsTV reported. A mother and her 23-year-old daughter had received burn injuries when unidentified culprits, riding a cycle of violence, sprayed acid on them as they were on their way home after conducting a tuition session on Friday evening. "A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim [the mother] against unknown suspects," said police official Mirwais Khan. Both the victims have been admitted to Bolan Medical Complex hospital's burn ward for medical treatment. A doctor treating the injured told DawnNewsTV that the acid has burnt the arm, face, and chest of the daughter, whereas, there was damage to the mother's face as a result of the acid attack. |
