The 2018 midterm election races that made history
2018-11-07
[Axios] The first Muslim congresswoman, first openly gay man elected governor, youngest woman ever elected to Congress, and more history was made Tuesday night in the midterm races.

The big picture: This was already teed up to be a major election, with Democrats poised to take the House and the country having the first chance since 2016 to send a message to Congress. But individual races opened the door for more diversity in national politics.
The Visigoths also "made history" with the sacking of Rome on 24 August 410.

#12  I hope they hard left keeps hammering the "investigate and impeach" like of attack while they accomplish NOTHIN, like not even getting a budget passed. Shut the government down after throwing tantrums about impeaching - you go do that you stupid bitch Waters. That'll make Trump a landslide in 2020.

#11  unless Mr. Mueller has video involving a live boy or a dead girl.

Not that there is anything wrong with that in our LBGTQWERTY world. Don't look so shocked. The dead are already a Democratic constituency and reliable voting block.

#10  Perhaps a 'digital rendering' of a very wet person with Trump's head crawling out of Poucha Pond, TW?

#9  Pelosi said she won't seek impeachment if the Dems take the house.

The House seeks impeachment, but the Senate decides it. No matter what Representative Pelosi might do, she isn’t going to win this one unless Mr. Mueller has video involving a live boy or a dead girl.

#8  All possible, with multiple Senatorial confirmations, except the pardon - which is not needed anyway. Then the cycle can repeat as often as desired until the next election.

#7  Pelosi said she won't seek impeachment if the Dems take the house.

I suspect: (1) she knows the Mueller probe is really nothing, and that nothing else Trump has done is even close to impeachable (2) Impeachment rallied the country around Bill Clinton and that's something she doesn't want to do before 2020.

#5  What do you think their impeachment would be based on? there is no proof of anything - not that it matters to the media and the left.

#4  ....one drone shot puts Pelosi in the White House.

A frightening thought, but true.

#3  *Meh* "Making History" is such an overwrought term...

#2  And if they can get Trump and Pence in the same place at the same time, one drone shot puts Pelosi in the White House.

#1  Welp, that's it, Trump's getting impeached.

He likely won't be convicted in the Senate, but don't rule out a last minute palace coup where several Republicans turn their coats and vote Trump out of office.
