Christmas being celebrated
2018-12-25
[Dhaka Tribune] Christmas is being celebrated in Bangladesh, as elsewhere across the world, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Christian community is celebrating the day on Tuesday, reports UNB.

Christmas, the biggest religious festival of the community, is the celebration of rebirth, new beginnings, forgiveness, peace, and renewing relationships with God and human beings.

Christmas trees with colourful lights, special prayers, the distribution of gifts among children, and the exchange of pleasantries are the main features of the day's festivities.

Christmas carols and hymns will be sung before and after the prayer sessions at the churches.
