Afghan forces repulse coordinated Taiban attack on Almar district |

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have repulsed a coordinated attack by Talibs on Almar district of northern Faryab province. The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North in a statement said a group of Talibs launched coordinated attack on Almar district at around 6pm on Tuesday which continued until 12 am. The statement further added that the festivities left at least eight turbans dead and five others maimed. According to 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan army, the dead bodies of a number of turbans were also left in the area after the attack was repulsed. In the meantime, the 209th Shaheen Corps said two shops also caught fire after in a rocket attack by the myrmidons. |
