Turkish-backed rebels score important victory after fending off HTS offensive in southern Idlib
2019-01-04
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish-backed National Liberation Front
...the Turkic paramilitaries intended to replace with their native jihadi ferocity all the highly trained Turkish soldiers Sultan Erdogan I the much beloved has jailed in the last few years for not worshipping the ground he walks upon. The Uighurs and so forth who did not join Al Nusra or ISIS seem to have ended up here...

scored an important victory on Thursday after their troops managed to fend off a massive attack by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
in southern Idlib.

The National Liberation Front was able to not only beat back the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham fighters near the key city of Ma’arat al-Nu’man, but they also recaptured the important town of Tremla after a fierce battle on Thursday.

In addition to retaking Tremla, the National Liberation Front recaptured the small town of al-Ghadfah, which is located just east of Ma’arat al-Nu’man.

The National Liberation Front is now working to clear several other areas that were recently attacked by the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham jihadists in northwest Syria.

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham launched their large-scale offensive this week after five of their members were bumped off near the town of Dart Izza in western Aleppo.

The jihadist group accused their former allies from Harakat Nouriddeen al-Zinki of carrying out this attack on their personnel.

In response to the alleged killing of their members, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham wrecked havoc on the Ottoman Turkish-backed rebel areas, seizing a number of towns, including Dart Izza and Khan al-Assal.
