The Saudi troops reportedly took up positions along the Jizan-Hajjah border, which has long been contested by the Arab Coalition and Houthi forces.

The Arab Coalition is looking to capture the al-Doud Mountain region and several imperative hilltops that are still under the control of the Houthi forces in the Jizan region.

The Saudi military and their allies from the pro-government Yemeni Army have already scored big advances inside the Yemeni province of Hajjah; they are now working to secure the entire Jizan-Hajjah border.
