| 2 killed, over 20 wounded in an explosion in Khost province |

| [KhaamaPress] At least two people bit the dust and more than 20 others sustained injuries in an kaboom in southeastern Khost province ... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name... of Afghanistan. According to the local officials, the incident took place at around noon time in the bustling provincial capital of the province. Gul Habib Shah, provincial public health director of Khost has confirmed that all those killed or maimed are ordinary civilians. In the meantime, the local security and government officials are saying that the incident took place after a cycle of violence laden with explosives exploded in a busy part of the city. The officials further added that 25 people have sustained injuries in the kaboom and two others have died. No individual or group including Talibs has so far grabbed credit behind the incident. This comes as an kaboom left a number of civilians dead in southeastern Paktika ...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... province of Afghanistan on Monday. The incident took place inside a market in Jani Khel district of the province, leaving at least six dead including two children. |
