on Wednesday to discuss the prospects regarding a possible peace deal in a bid to end the ongoing violence in Afghanistan, it has been reported.

Senior members of the group have told Rooters that the latest round of talks will take place with the U.S. officials only.

"After mutual consultations, we are going to meet U.S. officials in Doha on Wednesday. The meeting will continue for two days ‐ Wednesday and Thursday," a senior member of Taliban has told Rooters.

The Taliban leaders have also confirmed that the representatives of the other countries would not participate in the latest round of talks between the group and U.S. officials.

The earlier rounds of talks were held in the presence of Pak, Saudi, and UAE officials.

This comes as efforts are underway to initiate direct peace talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban group in a bid to find a political solution to the ongoing violence in Afghanistan.

However,
today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday...
the Taliban group has so far refrained to participate in direct talks with the Afghan government officials.
