| Gunmen Storm Police Headquarters In Herat; 2 Killed |

| [ToloNews] A number of button men attacked police district-6 (PD6) headquarters in Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... city in the west of Afghanistan on Friday evening, the Ministry of Interior confirmed. The Interior Ministry front man Najib Danish confirmed the attack and said security forces have started operation to clear the area of attackers. Sources said two people were killed in the attack and one was maimed. Herat governor’s front man Jailani Farhad said one of the button men has been killed. Herat police front man Abdul Ahad Walizada said the area is under the control of security forces and that the search operation is ongoing. |
