Syrian Army, Turkish-backed rebels exchange prisoners in Aleppo

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (TFSA) exchanged prisoners in the northeastern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate on Tuesday.

According to a military report, the exchange occurred near the city of Al-Bab and it was overseen by the Russian police in the area.

The report said that both sides agreed to exchange 20 prisoners at the Abu Al-Zindeen Crossing that links the Syrian Army and FSA-held areas.

This agreement was brokered by the Russian reconciliation center and it is the first of its kind this year.
