Trump bars US-born woman who joined IS from returning
2019-02-22
[IsraelTimes] Pompeo says 24-year-old Hoda Muthana is not an American citizen, though she was born in the country and apparently traveled to Syria on a US passport.

US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
said Wednesday he is barring a US-born former Islamic State

#11  Am i wrong or wasn't a condition of joining ISIS was too renounce your citizenship of your home country.

Lot of videos of of new to ISJV mandatory Coming Out party, where a class dances the hokey pokey while everyone throws their passport in a bonfire.

It was all very frightening until I couldn't get the Mexican Hat Dance music out of my head.

#9  The mood goddess father may at the time of her birth broke ranks, was no longer a diplomat. So what?

Because that does not go into effect until the State Department agrees that he is no longer a pigshit diplomat.

#7  How many more IS recruits are there to come home to roost in the USA? Surely there is a sparsely inhabited island off Alaska to keep them safe & sound for the rest of their lives.

#6  Had read elsewhere that she had renounced her US citizenship. That would seem to be the end of it as far as I am concerned.

#5  If I read it correctly there is a dispute whether her father still was a diplomat when she was born.

#4  Actually this exception only applies to children born to diplomats with an active accreditation in the respective country, because these persons are not subject to U.S. law. If a diplomat is no longer accredited and continues to live in the country as a regular person subject to U.S. law, this exception does no longer apply.

So this approach is probably not going to work if her parents were no longer accredited diplomats when she was born. The courts will demand that the U.S. let her in to face due process.

#3  She isn't a citizen. She was born here but two diplomat parents. According to US law children born here of diplomats do not get the same citizenship award as someone born of non-diplomats. She doesn't have a US passport so it is suspect how she traveled to a foreign country.

#2  Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

Nuff said.
