Reason Michael Cohen Turned On Trump (grain of salt)
2019-03-02
h/t Gates of Vienna
With the appearance of Lynne Patton during the Michael Cohen hearing, questions have been raised about why Cohen flipped to turn on President Trump.

It’s odd that Cohen had previously defended President Trump. He had written to defend the president against those who were claiming he’s a racist. Cohen was 100% in the Trump camp. So what happened?

...Lynne Patton:
What many of you may not be aware of is the fact that I can personally confirm that the ONLY reason Michael Cohen "turned on" the President of the United States is that Mueller threatened to throw his wife in jail for up to 30 years. Period. She is the co-guarantor of a $20M personal loan that Mueller discovered Michael secured back in 2015 by falsely inflating the value of his taxi medallions ‐ effectively making her part & parcel to the federal charge of "Making False Statements to a Financial Institution," to which Cohen ultimately plead guilty. This is also the reason why Cohen’s longtime taxi medallion partner, Evgeny "Gene" Freidman, was granted immunity. (read more)

Cohen went from saying he’d be willing to "take a bullet" for Trump to being willing to "take a bullet" for his wife.

#4  I wonder what the story is with Gen. Michael Flynn? What was Mueller threatening him with?

#3  Then Cohen had his opportunity to explain that in front of America. He is a POS.

Unfortunately, I find this explanation entirely believable. I know of too many prosecutors who bring up matters unrelated to a case in order to coerce a witness to provide false evidence in a case.

This happens with both Republican and Democratic prosecutors - especially if the lawyer thinks their career will be enhanced with this case.

God help you if the prosecutor loses the case and God help you if you can't give them what they want (because you're innocent).

Back in the Whitewater affair one of the small fry wanted to plead innocent to the charges against him. His lawyer told him: "You don't have enough money to be innocent." He meant the prosecution had an unlimited budget and could grind him and his assets into dust. Remember this when you read about these political charges.

#1  This really, really stinks. But now that it’s out, and I read that there is a book manuscript floating out there by Mr. Cohen saying wonderful things about President Trump, completely contradicting the nasty things he said under duress, the situation becomes much more interesting for all involved.
