According to the local security officials, the Afghan National Police repulsed a Taliban attack on a checkpoint in Pur Chaman district early this morning killing several Taliban fighters and their commander, Mullah Noor Ahmad. "Armed gunnies attempted to attack check posts in Nawbara village and were repulsed by the brave ANP forces and the enemy fled from the area after sustaining casulties," front man for the Farah Police Headquarters. "Afghan cops around the country are working hard to ensure security of the bases so they can provide security for the people of Afghanistan," the officials added. The anti-government armed snuffies including Taliban have not commented regarding the report so far.
