According to reports, at least 16 people bit the dust during the attack which was carried out in the outskirts of Jalalabad city, the quiet provincial capital of Nangarhar. The media office of Nangarhar had earlier reported that 11 workers of EBE Construction Firm bit the dust in the attack and 9 others have sustained injuries. According to a statement released by the provincial government, a soldier of the Special Forces of Afghan Intelligence also lost his life in the attack.
