[ToloNews] The corpse count rises to 11 in the attack on a gathering of Afghan politicians and hundreds of their supporters in the west of Kabul on Thursday, the Ministry of Interior confirmed on Friday.The ceremony, which was held to mark the 24th death anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari, the leader of the Hizb-e-Wadhat Party, was targeted by mortar attacks, gunfire and kabooms.
Nusrat Rahimi, a front man for Ministry of Interior Affairs, told TOLOnews that three women were among those who bit the dust in the attack.
He said 95 others, including 12 women, were maimed in the attack.
Rahimi said that their initial investigations show that the attack was carried out by the Taliban

The attack on the gathering at Musala-e-Mazari compound in Kabul’s PD13 took place at around 12pm Kabul time when Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah

Abdul Latif Pedram, head of the National Congress Party of Afghanistan and a presidential candidate, was also maimed in the attack.
Officials said children are also among those who sustained injuries in the attack.
