[Bangkok Post] Five Thai border policemen were wounded when their armored truck was hit with two bombs installed in 15-kilogram gas cylinders in Songkhla province late Sunday night.A police squad traveled to check two houses belonging to Amnuay Yodkaeo, a village official of Ban Khuan Ran village in Thepa district, after gunfire broke on Sunday night. The officers found that the houses had been shot at from a rubber plantation about 100 meters away, where dozens of spent bullet shells were found. No one in the houses was hurt.
The policemen then left the scene on Chonnabot Road. The two bombs were detonated at almost midnight. Chopped steel rods, other shrapnel and the impact of the bombs damaged the armored truck, including its windows.
