| Six hour Kabul attack ends, 5 assailants, 4 civilians killed: MoI | |

| [KhaamaPress] The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that the Afghan Special Forces killed all five forces of Evil involved in the attack on Counterpart International Office in Kabul city. According to a statement released by MoI, the attack was launched at around 11:40 am in the 10th police district of the city with the forces of Evil armed with suicide kaboom vests and weapons initially detonating an exploding car near the office of Counterpart International. The statement further added that the Afghan Special Forces managed to eliminate the remaining 5 assailants who had taken position inside the office of Counterpart International. The Ministry of Interior also confirmed that four civilians including a woman bit the dust in the attack along with a policeman who was involved in the rescue operation. The statement also added that the security forces managed to rescued at least 200 workers of the organization. The Talibs group grabbed credit for the attack.

Recent figures show that at least 15 people were maimed in the attack. Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for Ministry of Interior Affairs, said that more than 170 employees of the International Counterpart were rescued by security forces during their operation. The organization operates in Afghanistan since 2005. | |
