| [MAIL] In his remarks on Monday, Rosenstein defended his actions while taking aim at Comey, who recently said that the former deputy attorney general’s soul had been ‘eaten’ by Trump. ‘Now the former director seems to be acting as a partisan pundit, selling books and earning speaking fees while speculating about the strength of my character and the fate of my immortal soul,’ Rosenstein said. ‘I kid you not. That is disappointing.’ Rosenstein delivered his speech to some 1,000 people at the annual Greater Baltimore Committee dinner, according to CNN. He insisted that his decisions were not driven by partisan politics but by the rule of law. |

| #9 Rosenstein always reminded me of the Elliot Rosen character in Absence of Malice. Too confident of his own cleverness and untouchable-ness by half. Mebbe he can suffer the same fate. (Wilford Brimley would have been good as Barr or that feller from CT.) |
