Martin Luther King, Jr.: The Bombshell the Media Refuse to Handle
2019-06-10
[American Thinker] The world media, except in the U.S., are awash in the depressing, deplorable, and disturbing revelations about Martin Luther King, Jr. David J. Garrow, King's friendly and liberal official biographer, revealed up to 45 sexual encounters by King and the observation of and encouragement by King of the rape of a church member by her pastor ‐ all supported by FBI surveillance tapes.

One FBI memo reported, "King maintains intimate relationships with at least three women, one in Atlanta, one in Mt Vernon, New York, and one in Washington, DC," making him susceptible to blackmail. He also had a longtime mistress in Los Angeles, wife of a dentist, in addition to his many one-night stands. It goes on and on. In 2010, Kentucky state senator Georgia Davis Powers recounted her intimate relationship with King in her book, I Shared the Dream.

Garrow also reported about King's "love child" with a girlfriend in Los Angeles, and King "continued to support this child" and called the mother every Wednesday.

When Coretta King complained about her husband's affairs, he told her she "should go out and have some sexual affairs of her own." According to one of my contacts, Coretta got fed up and went after Martin with a butcher's knife. He wrote me, saying, "I am from Atlanta, and my grandmother's neighbor was head of nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital [now Emory St. Joseph's]. One morning, she told my grandmother that they had brought MLK into the emergency room the night before because "Coretta caught him with another woman and cut him up with a butcher's knife."

#10  So he cheated on his wife, bad, but between him and his wife. No ones business but theirs. The rape thing sounds a bit like the Pee dossier. I'm not buying it.

#9  Global. Thermonuclear. War. Everybody seems to forget that the Cold War and nuclear weapons made certain decisions mandatory: If MLK, jr. could help transition from the Jim Crowe Era to something better without a 'servile insurrection' that the Commies could exploit, then let's do it!

#8  A Kennedy of a different mother.

#7  The stories have been out there for some time about MLK. The left doesn't like their icons tarnished after putting so much effort into apothesizing them to sainthood. Similar to the deification of JFK and all the Camelot nonsense.

#6  (1) Everyone knew he cheated, i don't think anyone is surprised by that revelation (2) Claims he cheerleaded a rape seem unlikely, especially considering the FBI failed to do anything about it when they could have locked him up at the time, smeared his name, or simply blackmailed him. (3) The report mixes the criminal rape info alongside the cheating info as if the two are somehow equal which is bizarre and tone-deaf and smacks of throwing mud at the wall to see what sticks.

So basically this is old news with a side of bullcrap that folks aren't buying. The real question is why?

#5  Ref #4: "Hands off"... just like our current Clinton-Soetoro scandal.

#4  In my opinion Hoover was managed in this situation. Told to keep hands off.

#3  Playing spy with tapes and shit. Never actually did anything with it. If he had....

Hoover insurance shall we say.

#2  That idiot Hoover. WTF was he doing when he had him in the emergency room ? Playing spy with tapes and shit. Never actually did anything with it. If he had, America would be even far ahead of what it is today.

And what sort of half-hearted knife work was this by Coretta ? She was no Wakandan, I tell you.

#1  Amazingly similar to ongoing Soetoro and the 'Crossfire Hurricane' FISA warrant fiasco. No one wishes to touch his potential connection or knowledge. His image shall not, in any way, be tarnished.
