Fake news: Iran rescues 44 sailors after oil tanker attack. Real news: The Yanks dunnit
2019-06-14
So they claimed, anyway.
[ALMASDARNEWS] Iranian rescue services saved 44 sailors from tankers after a reported attack and took them to the Iranian port of Jask, the state-run IRNA news agency reported on Thursday.

The US Navy’s 5th Fleet also said that it was assisting two oil tankers targeted in a "reported attack" near the Strait of Hormuz after the vessels sent distress calls.

It was not immediately clear who attacked the vessels, one of which has been identified as Front Altair, a crude oil tanker owned by Norway’s Frontline and carrying the flag of the Marshall Islands.

According to shipping newspaper Tradewinds, Frontline’s oil tanker had been "torpedoed" off the coast of the Emirate of Fujairah.

Taiwan’S energy firm CPC said it had suspicions that Front Altair, which was carrying 75,000 tonnes of naphtha, was hit by an unknown object.

to Singapore with a cargo of methanol.

"The hull has been breached above the water line on the starboard side," the company said in a statement. "All crew are reported safe and only one minor injury reported."

Earlier in the day, Iran’s Press TV said that two successive blasts affected two oil tankers on Thursday morning in what it described as "attacks".

Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet quoted Oman authorities as saying that at least one tanker had been attacked in Iran’s territorial waters in the Gulf of Oman.

Brent crude climbed 4.5 percent in the wake of the reports.

Japanese tanker operator says crew aboard US warship, refuting Iranian claim

[IsraelTimes] The Japanese operator of a tanker that was damaged in a suspected attack in the Strait of Hormuz says all of its crewmembers are now safe onboard a US Navy warship.

The chemical tanker Kokuka Courageous, operated by Kokuka Sangyo Co., was apparently attacked as it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz toward Singapore and Thailand destinations to deliver methanol.

All of its 21 Filipino crewmembers escaped on a life boat and were initially rescued by a Dutch ship that was headed to the United Arab Emirates.

Company executive Michio Yube says the crewmembers are now on an US warship, which a US official told CBS News was the USS Bainbridge guided missile destroyer. One of the crewmembers received treatment for his injury sustained during the attacks.

The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
had claimed it rescued all 44 crew members aboard both the Kokuka Courageous and the Norwegian-owned Front Altair.

#1  Was it Limpet mines, torpedoes, or flying objects? It does seem the sailors are safe and that Iran did not rescue them and there is a fair amount of disinformation and fake news surrounding the incidents.

Any more news about John Kerry accusations of violating the Logan Act for recent talks with Iran?
