The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the ANA Artillery pounded Taliban positions in Zanjik, Balghali and outskirts of Sar-e-Pul capital.

The statement further added that the Air Forces also carried out Arclight airstrike

s against Talibs.

According to 209th Shaheen Corps, at least 3 Talibs were killed and 7 others were maimed during the operations.

The security forces also destroyed a mortar launcher of the Talibs, the 209th Shaheen Corps added.

The Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far.

Taliban’s shadow district chief killed; his close comrade arrested in Sar-e-Pul

[KhaamaPress] The security forces have killed the shadow district chief of Taliban for Sayad district of Sar-e-Pul province.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said Wednesday that the Special Forces of the Afghan Police conducted an opeation in Sayad district late on Tuesday night.

The statement further added that the Police Special Forces killed Sher Mohammad alias Ghazanfar, the shadow district chief of Taliban for the district.

The ministry also added that Special Forces also arrested one of the close comrades of Sher Mohammad during the operation.

Meanwhile, the ministry of interior said Sher Mohammad was one of the key commanders of Taliban who was involved in major terrorist attacks in Sayad district.

The Taliban group has not commented regarding the killing of Sher Mohammad so far.
