Roadside bomb explosion kills 2 children in Balkh province
[KhaamaPress] An Improvised Explosive Device explosion claimed the lives of two children in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan.
The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said an Improvised Explosive Device planted by enemies went off in Chahabar Bolak district killing two children.
The statement further added that the earth-shattering kaboom took place in Khanabad area of the district.
Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the children were playing in the area when the IED went off.

87 Taliban militants killed in Balkh province in past one week: 209th Shaheen Corps
[KhaamaPress] The Afghan cops have killed 87 Talibs during the operations which they conducted in northern Balkh province in past one week.
The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the security forces conducted major offensives in Chemtal, Chahar Bolak, Balkh and Dawlatabad districts in past one week.
The statement further added that the security forces killed 87 Lions of Islam including 22 of their commanders during the operations.
Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the security forces also maimed 77 Talibs including 17 of their commanders.
The 209th Shaheen Corps also added that the security forces 7 Lions of Islam during the same operations.
