Why Trump’s Approval Ratings Are Up Among Minorities
2019-08-21
I’ve been wondering about the unanimous screeching that President Trump — and all Republicans, by definition — is racist.
[Spectator] A mounting number of voter polls show that, despite shrill denunciations of the president by the Democrats for his alleged racism, Trump is enjoying a dramatic increase in his approval ratings among minorities. This isn’t, as some liberal news outlets and pundits have suggested, wishful thinking based on outlier polls. The trend began showing up in surveys early this year and appears to be gaining momentum. Some polls now show his approval numbers at 25 percent among African American voters and 50 percent among Hispanic voters. If those figures hold for the next 15 months, they will render Trump unbeatable in November of 2020.

If this claim seems over the top, it should be remembered that Trump beat Hillary Clinton in 2016 despite garnering only about 8 percent of the black vote and 29 percent of the Hispanic vote. Put another way, Clinton lost the election despite winning nearly 90 percent of the African American vote and two-thirds of the Hispanic vote. In other words, they simply can’t beat the president if he holds them to significantly lower percentages of these key voting blocs. The Democrats and their media enablers understand this, of course, which is why they have worked so diligently to discredit polls that confirm the president’s gains among minority voters.

#5  according to sources that seem reliable, the turnout among black voters was higher than among others in 2016. IF these were the same, the black community supplied a margin to Clinton of 80% of its 13% of the vote, which is more than 10% of all the voters. Since she got less than 52% of the total vote sh lost by at least 42 to 46.7 among other voters. Changing her proportion of the black vote to 75% would in itself lower her margin by 3.9% and in itself leave her behind. With a parallel effect among othr minorities the Democrats will be heavily behind if they do not find ways to appeal to those deplorables who voted for Trump in 2016

#4  This is why the Dems have doubled down on racist claims lately. Gotta keep the folks on the plantation and ignoring their lying eyes.

#3  Put another way, Clinton lost the election despite winning nearly 90 percent of the African American vote

This is 90% of 13% of the vote (assuming AA voting pop tracks close US population numbers). Not exactly a recipe for a landslide election. So maybe Hillary lost because she is evil and can't do arithmetic.
