U.S. military confirms attack on a convoy near Bagram Airfield, no casualties reported

[KhaamaPress] The U.S. military confirmed an attack on a military convoy near Bagram Airfield in northern Parwan province of Afghanistan.

According to a statement released by U.S. military "There was an attack on a convoy last night near Bagram Airfield in Sayyad district, but no casualties or injuries to US or Coalition forces."

The statement further added "Unfortunately local businesses were damaged though. Rather than taking responsibility for and apologizing for the harm they bring to innocent Afghans and their businesses, the Taliban

spread lies about the attack."

The local officials also confirmed that two armoured personnel carrier of the foreign forces were damaged in the attack but no one was hurt.

The Taliban group front man Zabiullah Mujahid had earlier claimed that the suicide kaboom killed 7 foreign troops and maimed 4 others.
Tolo News adds:
A convoy of foreign forces was targeted by a boom-mobile explosion near Bagram Airfield on Friday evening, but the incident had no casualties, the provincial police chief Mohammad Mahfooz Walizada said.

Mr. Walizada said the incident happened at around 10:30 pm on Friday in which an explosives-laden vehicle exploded in front of a foreign forces convoy which was patrolling in the area.
