[Daily Star] A soldier has gone on a mass shooting rampage in a city in Thailand and left at least 20 people dead in a bloody massacre. The crazed military officer opened fire in Nakhon Ratchasima ‐ also known as Korat ‐ in north-eastern Thailand this afternoon. He first killed his commander and two others at a military base before storming the Terminal 21 shopping mall in the city. The gunman then randomly shot at multiple civilians at the mall, reportedly including a police officer, child, taxi driver and a student. The suspect is now said to be holed up on the fourth floor of the mall where he has taken 16 hostages. Special forces are storming the building in a bid to take out the maniac. The soldier has been identified as Sergeant Major Jakrapanth Thomma, and had live-streamed his sickening massacre on Facebook. |
