US appeals court skeptical of bid by ex-Trump adviser to end criminal case
2020-06-12
[YNet] - A U.S. appeals court on Friday appeared skeptical of the Justice Department's unprecedented effort to drop a criminal case against President Donald Trump's former adviser Michael Flynn, signaling no quick end to the politically charged prosecution.

U.S. Circuit Judge Karen Henderson, an appointee of President George H.W. Bush, said the lower-court judge overseeing the case was not a "rubber stamp" and there was nothing wrong with U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan hearing arguments about whether to let the Justice Department drop the case.

Flynn twice pleaded guilty to the charge the Justice Department is now trying to drop.

#5  clearly protecting the swamp creatures. Once the case is dismissed, the gag order on Flynn is lifted and he is free to tell his tale. That's what they are really worried about.

#4  The appeals court has said it will return a decision on December 9. Seems like they are delaying things past election time to keep Flynn quiet prior to the election. What's the make-up of this court? In my non-lawyer mind, the case seems like a slam dunk no brainer. It also seems like they are trying to protect Sullivan rather than render justice to Flynn.

#2  Flynn will be released before this reached Supreme Court review because the left won't expose Roberts for something less than the whole enchilada.
