2020-06-24 |
[KhaamaPress] The government of India strongly reacted to the abduction of a Sikh Afghan community leader by the Death Eaters in South-eastern Paktiya province of Afghanistan. Anurag Srivastava, a spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs of India told news hounds Tuesday "We strongly condemn the abduction of Mr Nedan Singh, a leader of the Hindu and Sikh community of Afghanistan by terrorists." He also added "The targeting and persecution of minority community members by gunnies at the behest of their external supporters is a matter of grave concern." Without elaborating further regarding his claims regarding the external supporters of the terrorist in Afghanistan, Srivastava said "India is in touch with the government of Afghanistan for ensuring the safety, security and well-being of the minority community in Afghanistan. We hope that the government of Afghanistan would be able to secure safe and early release of Mr Nedan Singh." No individual or group has so far grabbed credit for the incident. This comes as Death Eaters killed at least 30 members of the Sikh minority community in Afghanistan during an attack in Kabul late in March. |
