| #4 Exactly as Wren says it. People see India as a mystical place full of buzzing energy and diverse people chasing their own nirvanas all the time. The truth is, most of the population is as neurotic and dangerously unmanageable as those in America and Europe. We are obsessively compelled to hold our stupid ostentatious weddings, pull down that mask and spit around, pee on walls and congregate around water bodies in the hundred thousands for nothing every fucking month. There is no way the virus could be contained for such a suicidally stupid society. And the idiot Government wasted about a 100 million vaccine kits by sending them to useless shitholes, Pakistan [yupp!] etc until there arose a shortage back home. |

| #3 Yes. Absolutely true. The condition is harrowing, yet millions of Indians gather to celebrate festivals, attend marriages and political rallies. People are blaming the government for it because they don't realize their folly; it is because we didn't follow the Covid-19 protocols, didn't wear a mask outdoors or use hand sanitizers.It's just so bad. |

| #2 The first wave, which struck six months ago, proved to be manageable. Younger people were hardly affected. Now, the under-40s are sick too. Two-month-old babies are becoming infected. Pregnant women are dying. Hospitals have largely stopped taking patients. Ambulances are taking a whole day to reach some victims. So, a spontaneous mutation or Wuhan beta? |
