FEMA 2014 Pandemic - Influenza Continuity of Operations Planning |
2021-08-26 |
[FEMAgov] Back in 2014 the USA had a serious EBOLA threat coupled with a Moderately Severe Flu that by itself took over 38k USA lives. So FEMA developed Pandemic Template to be followed if the stinky stuff really hit the fan. Its a good read to see the 7+/- year old Continuity of Operations Roadmap that was planned back then vs. the one we are following today. |

#1 What I take away reading it is that FEMA, CDC, basically the state and local governments all had a pandemic playbook and didn't use it. I also wonder how much politics has played in the needless crap we have gone through. |
