RAQQA, Syria (North Press) — Sheikh of albu Khamis clan of the city of Raqqa, north Syria, was maimed yesterday by unknown attackers, who fired at him in a neighborhood in Tabqa city, 55 kilometers west of Raqqa.
The attackers, who were riding a cycle of violence
fired Thamer al-Hamshar in the abdomen so that he was transferred to a hospital in Raqqa city.Sheikh al-Hamshar is maintaining a good health condition after being subjected to a surgery to retrieve the bullet, Muhannad al-Ibrahim, a nurse in Modern Hospital Medicine in Raqqa, said Saturday.
The sheikh’s health is good and he is under clinical observation after the necessary medical examinations were conducted and the surgery, the nurse told North Press.
The city of Raqqa is near-almost stable unlike other Syrian cities.
