Russian cyber attacks against US banks increasing
2022-03-14 | |
[NY Post] A good reason to remove Russia from the internet. Russia appears to have officially declared cyberwar on the US, taking what’s been described as preliminary steps at crippling its banking system and possibly other major industries, The Post has learned. The Biden administration has been working with bank executives for months about preparing for cyberattacks as retaliation over US sanctions.
Bank executives tell The Post they’ve spent billions of dollars annually to protect against cyber criminals, but they say the recent wave of attacks is different. Sources describe them as a subtle but intensified assault on banks’ technological infrastructure that began after the sanctions over Ukraine were announced.

#3 Hey Caligula! If you look, you’ll see that Rantburg also carries Russian propaganda from the FSB. We figure that’s a pretty fair balance, unless you want to claim that the CIA is much better at propaganda despite a century of practice, including time under the names of KGB, NIVD, Cheka, and the others in between. |

#2 Hmmmmmmm...does this mean that two can play at this economic warfare game? Did our leaders consider anything like this when they were prancing around showing how morally superior they were to Putin? |

#1 Hey rantburg! Patriotism is also when media doesn’t lies on info coming from your opponent…and 90% of your Ukrainian reports are pure Cia propaganda. This is some REAL News today: In response to Western media reports that Moscow requested military aid from Beijing to conduct its operation in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China has accused US officials of spreading disinformation with sinister intent. “The United States has been spreading false information against China on the Ukraine issue recently, with sinister intentions,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said on Monday, answering a foreign reporter’s question on whether China will assist Russia with arms. |
