'An open homophobe and transphobe': Furious Twitter staffers slam Elon Musk and say his ownership will hurt recruiting as they fret over layoffs in emergency staff meeting with CEO Parag Agrawal
2022-05-02
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] This is tears of his enemies as they are driven before him stuff.
  • Twitter staff lashed out during 'impromptu' all-hands meeting on Friday

  • Many vented fury over Musk's deal to buy the company for $44 billion

  • One staffer accused Musk of being an 'open homophobe and transphobe'

  • Others expressed fears of mass layoffs once the acquisition deal closes

  • CEO Parag Agrawal was described as appearing tired and at times annoyed
If you strike at the king you must kill him — and he failed. Now he has the distinct displeasure of presiding over mock-worthy revelations and unravellings that he had planned to keep hidden from the light of day, while knowing even that will soon be taken from him.
Beautiful prose!
*blush* I was inspired. :-)

#11  Musk participates in many employee interviews looking for tell-tale traits of genius. (His IQ is 155).

Doubt he's going to find much intelligent life in this playground

#10  That's how business works. Lots of lawsuits have a clause like that too. Whatever gets it closed is fine with me. The lefty tech press is down to a story a day about how Musk already violated the deal or can't pay for the deal, or whatever. It isn't whistling past the graveyard, it's bawling hysterically on hands and knees past the graveyard and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

#9  You'll note that Agrawal and the board have said nothing negative about Musk, and Elon has been very circumspect in his comments about Twitter.
Turns out there's "disparagement clause" in the buyout deal. Nobody gets to call names. The penalty? $1Billion, against either side.

#8  Should not be an issue recruiting in Texas, and I suspect the upgrades over the current staff will benefit the company and its users.

#3  I'm sure lots of them will land "work-from-home" gigs with the new Ministry of Truth. Of course, those jobs will be gone in 6 months too.

It is clear that many of the "current" (soon to be weeded out) Bigoted Twitter Staff are MORAL-PHOBIC.

#1  Same accusations as they used against chick-fil-A, which seems to get far better employees than any other fast food place.
