| [ABCnews4] A man accused of attacking New York GOP gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin during a recent campaign rally told investigators he'd been drinking that day and didn't know who the congressman was, authorities said as the man was arrested on a federal assault charge Saturday. David Jakubonis, 43, made an initial court appearance Saturday before a federal magistrate judge on a single count of assaulting a member of Congress with a dangerous weapon. The charge carries a potential maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. He was ordered held until a bail hearing in federal court Wednesday. | #3 Back in January 2012, he was medically discharged from the military. Ah. Knew he left, didn’t know why. But it’s clear there were issues — with all his training he was unable to find work since 2015. |

| #1 Claims he did not know who "LEE Zeldin" was, But "According to the Batavian, a local business owner named Brandon Lewis witnessed the attack, and he told the news outlet that the suspect yelled, “You’re done, Lee. You’re done, Lee.” BTW: He has been unstable for years. Brother got the twins when his wife died. Back in January 2012, he was medically discharged from the military. |
