| Southern Yemeni separatists attack women's event in Hadhramaut |

| [HODHODYEMENNEWS] A security force affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Thursday stormed a women’s seminar in the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadhramout province, eastern Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... Local sources confirmed that armed elements affiliated with the STC raided a women’s event at the Ramada Hotel in the center of the city, due to raising up the flag of the Republic of Yemen. The sources explained that the officers took down the Yemeni flag and tore it apart in front of the attendees, in a scene that met with widespread anger. The incident comes a few days after the STC authorities circulated a ban on holding any events raising up the flag of the Republic of Yemen in the oil plateau. |
