IDF reopens work permits to Palestinians from hometown of gunmen in deadly attack
2022-09-30
[IsraelTimes] Israel is unfreezing entry permits to Israel for residents of Kafr Dan, the hometown of two Paleostinian button men who killed an officer earlier this month, on the West Bank security barrier.

In a statement, the military’s liaison to the Paleostinians says the decision, which comes two weeks after the deadly shooting, was made by Defense Minister Benny Gantz during a recent assessment.

Ahmed Abed and Abdul Rahman Abed, from the village near Jenin, were killed in the shootout with Israeli troops who sought to arrest them on September 14.

Maj. Bar Falah, 30, the deputy commander of the elite Nahal reconnaissance unit, was killed when the button men opened fire.

Dozens of work permits belonging to the immediate family of the two button men are still frozen, COGAT says.

In the past year, over 2,500 work permits belonging to family members of Paleostinian bully boyz have been revoked, the statement adds.
