| #18 The part about working closer and closer to a shooting war is the time to dump the SPR for......an equivalent of 5 days respite. A respite which isn't because there is no plan for day 6+. Just dumping SPR to be refilled at a later, more expensive date, driving down supply during that period (especially for an emergency fill) and prices up. More. Good work DC. It's all Phil the Gas Station Manager's fault then. |

| #14 Trump and DeSantes should make a declaration that they find OPECs reduction to be hostile to the United States people and OPEC can expect future governments of the United States to remember. Such a statement might get them to change their policy and might isolate them from charges that they influenced OPEC to hurt Biden (as Reagan was accused during Iran hostage crisis). |

| #8 Most of the cuts will come from Russia. They can't move the oil produced even at $30/barrel discount they are selling to India and China. Prewar, the Russian government tariff on oil exports was $52/barrel. Less than half of oil income is now coming into the Russian treasury. Old man winter and lack of western spare parts will make sure Russia takes the full 2M barrel cut and more. |
