Taliban Establishes Commission to Investigate Detainees in Northern Afghanistan

-controlled media reported that the Taliban has established a six-member commission to investigate the cases of the people that have been detained during the "military operations in Panjshir" province in northern Afghanistan.According to the Bakhtar state news agency, Mullah Hassan Akhund, the Taliban’s prime minister, directed the establishment of this commission.

Mawlawi Neda Mohammad Nadim the governor of the Taliban administration in Kabul has been selected as the chairperson of the newly established Taliban commission.

Bakhtar’s report made no mention of the number of detainees, but in recent weeks, more than 200 people were detained in Panjshir’s Rakha and Abshar districts.

The people who have been arrested in Panjshir province in the Taliban military operations, according to the Taliban-run media, are held in prisons in Kabul, the Afghan capital.

Earlier, Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban government’s front man, claimed that more than 100 members of the National Resistance® Front (NRF), an gang resisting the Taliban rule, were tossed into the calaboose as part of the front’s suppression.
