’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Sunday his country hopes to complete establishing 25.000 residential units in northern Syria by the end of 2022, after establishing 75.000 houses there.

This came in the opening event of a village including 600 residential units north of Idlib, northwest Syria.

"75.000 cement houses were built during two years, under instructions of Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important...
," Soylu said.

"We will be completing 100,000... houses by the end of the year," Soylu said, at the ceremony in the newly-built settlement at Mashhad Ruhin, situated close to the Ottoman Turkish border.

The settlement of Mashhar Ruhin, the latest in series of Ankara-sponsored housing projects, includes some of 500 families now live in, and 100 more are expected to arrive in coming days.

Turkey launched three military operations against northern and northeastern regions in Syria. The first was "Euphrates Shield" operation in 2016 where it occupied Jarablus and al-Bab, the second was "Olive Branch" operation in 2018 where it occupied Afrin region, and the third was "Peace Spring" in 2019 which resulted in the occupation of the two cities of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel Abyad with their countryside.

On May 4, Erdogan announced a plan to send one million Syrian refugees back to their country.

On May 6, Soylu revealed Turkey’s intention to build about 250,000 housing units in northern Syria, as part of his country’s plan to resettle Turkey-based Syrian refugees.

Turkey has repeatedly and illegally deported Syrian refugees under the pretext of violating asylum laws and not amending their data regarding the temporary protection ID card, also known as Kimlik.

Since the beginning of 2022, Turkey has deported about 16.173 people through the Bab al-Hawa border crossing, according to an exclusive statistic obtained by North Press from the crossing administration.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report on October 24 Turkey arbitrarily arrested, detained and deported hundreds of Syrian refugees to Syria between February and July.
