Posted by: Dale 2023-02-10 09:41 They actually did pretty well (though nowhere near what they were capable of) until the Soviets collapsed, and then they decided to do two things: first, divert all that defense money to social benefits, and second import foreign workers to pay for all those benefits so the locals wouldn't have to. | #1 Stored to protect the motherland. So deeply embedded for defense against external attacks. Numbers that currently work not really known. Say one thousand in working order with parts, crew and maintenance is significant. Then add air and artillery plus electronic warfare significant.So with losses posted by western media alone say 500 that is more than the EU has in their entire countries combined. Then add EU working order numbers available for active service much lower. The war will be decided by the country having the greatest raw materials, factories and serving military. The EU after WW11 let military rot. Loss of funding. Big daddy USA was their cover. |
