| IED Explosion Wounds Syrian Government Forces In Daraa |

| [NPASyria] On Saturday, members of the Syrian government forces were maimed in an IED attack targeted their military vehicle in the western countryside of Daraa Governorate, southern Syria. A local source told North Press that more than five Syrian soldiers sustained injuries, some very critical, due to an IED attack targeted a military vehicle near the town of Jamla in, west of Daraa. The source added that the government forces sent more than 10 cars to the region, some equipped with anti-aircraft machine guns. They combed the surrounding area for the perpetrators. According to the source, the maimed were taken to al-Sanamayn Public Hospital, whereas two others were taken directly to Damascus hospitals due to critical injuries. This incident happened two days after the injury of four security personnel affiliated with the Syrian government following an IED attack on an armored military vehicle on Jassem-Inkhil road in the northern countryside of Daraa. Last week, Daraa and its countryside witnessed sporadic attacks by unknown assailants leading to the death of four people in different areas of the governorate. In another context, the government forces attacked a woman and her husband from a Bedouin clan living in a tent in Suwayda Governorate on the Sayda-Kaheel road, east of Daraa. Local sources told North Press that the government forces indiscriminately shot fire, killing a woman, and injuring her son, then arrested her husband without further information about the cause of the shooting. |
