| IDF troops clash with Palestinians during demolition of illegal West Bank structure |

| [IsraelTimes] Israeli troops opened fire into the air during a scuffle with Paleostinians during the demolition of an illegal structure near the West Bank town of Deir Ballut. Video footage of the incident shows troops scuffling with Paleostinians and shooting in the air. A military spokesperson tells The Times of Israel that around 150 Paleostinians were hurling stones at the troops who were securing the demolition, and refused calls to disperse. One Paleostinian suspect attempted to grab an officer’s gun amid the incident, the spokesperson says, and in response, the troops used riot dispersal means and live fire in the air. The vast majority of Deir Ballut is in Area C of the West Bank, where Israel maintains full civil and security control, and as such, Paleostinians require Israeli building permits. |
