Egyptians to enjoy Eid El-Fitr, Sinai Liberation Day holiday from 20 to 25 April
2023-04-11
[AlAhram] The Egyptian cabinet announced on Monday that employees will be given a paid holiday from 20 to 25 April on the occasion of Eid El-Fitr and Sinai Liberation Day.

The paid holiday applies to employees working in ministries, government agencies, public authorities, local administration units, public sector companies, private sector companies, and public business sector companies.

Eid El-Fitr is a religious holiday celebrated by Moslems worldwide to mark the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Sinai Liberation Day commemorates the release of the Egyptian land of Sinai from Israeli occupation.

The Central Bank of Egypt stated that 16 and 17 April will be a holiday for all banks due to the celebration of Coptic Easter and Sham El-Nessim, respectively.
