[NY Post] Guess the party, race? A Georgia mayor was arrested for breaking into a lake house he coveted and confronting the frightened homeowner while snarling, "Do you know who the f—k I am?" police and the victim say. South Fulton
Kamau has declined to comment on the incident, instead choosing to praise the South Fulton Police Department for its quick intervention. "I do want to thank the South Fulton police and the staff of officers for their courteous and professional service throughout the day," he told reporters as he later left jail. The mayor told officers that he was on his way to a dog park when he stopped by the house, claiming it was his dream home and that he had hopes of purchasing it one day, according to the police report. Kamau admitted to police that he was aware he was trespassing on the homeowner’s property, despite telling FOX 5 Atlanta he believed the home was "abandoned." The homeowner, who has not been publicly identified, said he saw the mayor walk up his driveway and approach his lake house when he rushed to get dressed and called police from inside his truck. The owner of the home then approached Kamau and held him at gunpoint until police arrived, warning the mayor to stay put, the report states. "No, motherf—ker, you stay right there," the homeowner said, according to Kamau. The mayor claimed that he apologized to the homeowner and explained who he was. When the homeowner warned him to wait for police, Kamau allegedly responded: "Are you going to shoot me while I’m walking away?" The mayor was charged with criminal trespass and first-degree burglary and was booked in the Fulton County Jail on $11,000 bond before being released. City officials said the investigation is ongoing and did not provide further details on the case. "The city of South Fulton is committed to upholding the law and ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their position, are subject to the same fair and just treatment," officials said in a statement.

Let alone to discuss buying a house? Was the mayor tested for drugs? |
