'Professional Sports' White Sox - Guardians slugfest |
2023-08-06 |
[NYP] The White Sox and Guardians turned a baseball game into a boxing match and then a bench-clearing brawl. Chicago shortstop Tim Anderson and Cleveland third baseman Jose RamÃrez exchanged punches at second base Saturday night during the White Sox’s 7-4 win at Progressive Field, triggering a bench-clearing melee in the sixth inning that led to six ejections. Anderson and Ramirez are likely facing suspensions. With the Guardians trailing 5-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning, the altercation began when RamÃrez slid headfirst into second after lacing an RBI double into right field off Bryan Shaw and Anderson stood over him, straddling RamÃrez. When RamÃrez got up, he pointed his finger at Anderson and yelled, prompting them to square off. Yes, 'physical assault' is criminal activity. |

#5 I was watching the game but left to do chores. My folks texted me about the fight. It was bleed over from something that Anderson did the previous night. He was scratched from the line-up today, an act of good sense. |

#4 I've often said my non-firearm choice in a street fight would be a hockey stick. |

#3 Never see much of that here, and they're actually armed with 'delivery sticks.' |

#2 Obviously, they need to extend the hockey season. |

#1 Try something like that or even speak harshly to someone at the office and see what happens. Why is this different ? Oh wait ! |
