#5  I think the issue with Perdue was that they could see what was happening, how their drug was being abused, and just went along for the ride, if not actively exacerbating the situation.

#4  Ditto to all above. Gout and Gall stones and Lung infection have taught me the true meaning of pain.

Between Oxy and Prednizone I survived. Just take them as prescribed, don't get into the self medicating mode.

#3  We really don't have a good answer--or any answer at all, really, for people with pain. My wife has needed opioids several times, and they have been a godsend. We've had to jump through several hoops each time because of politicians screeching "Opioid crisis" and bureaucrats reacting with ridiculous rules.

But as to why people sue the pharmaceutical companies, I would say that the answer is that's where the money is.

#1  I don't understand why people blame the pharmaceutical companies. My recent bought with shingles and my pain with kidney stones are aleviated by opioids. I know there are many people who easily become addicted to them but sueing the pharmaceutical companies does not seem to me to be in any way helpful. Do people sue alcoholic beverage companies for alcoholism?
