Family discovers live frog in unopened package of 'triple washed' organic spinach
2023-08-14
[NYPOST] A Michigan family leaped in surprise after finding a live frog in an unopened package of organic spinach.
"It ain't easy being green!"
"Who said that?"

"My daughter was screaming, she was like ’Oh my God, it’s a frog,’ and I was like, ’What?'" Amber Worrick told WJBK-TV. "Just thank God I didn’t eat the frog."
"I'm glad you didn't too! [RIBBET! RIBBET!]"
She discovered the animal — which turned out to be a Pacific tree frog, native to Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, — camouflaged in the leafy vegetable and still moving.

Worrick purchased the package of Earthbound Farms Organic Spinach at Meijer supermarket in Southfield — and didn’t notice anything unusual about it.

"I didn’t see anything, didn’t feel heavy," she said. "I didn’t feel anything wiggling."

After making the unexpected discovery, she returned the spinach to the store and received a refund — and also brought the frog, which was relocated to a new home by its employees.

#3  Talk about from the garden straight to your table.

A Southerner would have a recipe for the frog and a top rated review. It would have been a classic.

#2  He jumped from the triple washing frog machine into the spinach process. He noticed that the water was getting progressively hotter.
