#2  Privilege generates resentment but generally won’t change voting in solidly Dem districts. Joe is not running again so it doesn’t really matter with respect to turnout. I suspect there is a mechanism is the deep blue areas that will result in a Dem vote cast whether or not a person protests and stays home on Election Day.
