[blaze] Hamas spokesperson Ghazi Hamad told BBC that the militant group had received support from its ally Iran for its murderous onslaught on Israel.

The Wall Street Journal reported, "Iranian security officials helped plan Hamas’s Saturday surprise attack on Israel and gave the green light for the assault at a meeting in Beirut last Monday, according to senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah, another Iran-backed militant group."

#7  As I mentioned on another thread; perhaps coverage in some sectors was being monitored by someone other than the IDF. Just a....wild arsed what if.

#5  The utter failure - and that's exactly what it was - of the Israeli army, police, and intel

I can't argue with that.

#2 I assume IRGC planned a mass hostage taking, not mass murder orgy.

Grom,

I'm wondering if this wasn't a situation where they didn't expect to be this successful - they sent X many guys over expecting Y to actually get in and Z to actually pull off their specific mission. The utter failure - and that's exactly what it was - of the Israeli army, police, and intel - meant that if their goal was a couple dozen dead and a bunch of hostages intended to keep the Israelis from going old Testament on them, they only guaranteed that this time it's gonna hurt.

#3  This must be wrong. Our Secretary of State just assured us that this was in no way possible.
