[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Big rig plunges off highway and narrowly misses driver who captured it on dashcam

  • The incident took place last month on I-30 around Dallas

  • A runaway truck narrowly missed the driver by seconds after being sent careening off an overpass

  • The driver was able to stop just in time, and thankfully, the trucker only suffered minor injuries

#4  Yep.
Gotta launch, not accelerate.

#3  Most Texas on-ramps are too short for anyone not driving a dragster to reach actual (not speed limit) highway speed

And they put traffic circles (that slows everyone down even more) right before the ramps around here.

Although parts of Wyoming and New Mexico just have 90-degree turns and what seems to be about 60-80 feet of ramp.

#1  Know it well.
Just past the Redline Dragstrip, heavy construction with 'random' traffic rerouting as speed limit drops from 75(nie 85) to 65.

Idiots coming up the entrance ramp gotta hit 75 to merge. Some do, some wait for a traffic gap at the top of the ramp, some ramp-up and merge below lane speed.
