Gaza hospital faces dire situation after Israeli raid
2024-02-16
[GEO.TV] The Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

The situation at the Khan Yunis medical facility is described as catastrophic due to a lack of medical resources, leaving patients and medics in a precarious state.

The Israeli military conducted what they termed a "precise and limited operation" at the hospital, a major health facility in the region. However,

the impact has been severe, with the health ministry reporting a chaotic scene and the medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) highlighting the challenges faced by their staff.

MSF, in a statement on social media, revealed the grim reality: "Our medical staff have had to flee the hospital, leaving patients behind." This abandonment of patients, coupled with the shelling, resulted in numerous casualties.

The Israeli military initially claimed "credible intelligence" suggesting the presence of hostages in the hospital. However,

later statements indicated a lack of evidence supporting their assertion. Military front man Daniel Hagari clarified that no evidence of hostages was found but acknowledged the discovery of weapons within the hospital complex.

Footage circulating on social media showed the aftermath of the shelling, with rescuers navigating through debris to evacuate patients. The health ministry shared a video showing a crowded corridor with patients on beds, highlighting the strain on the healthcare system.

Amid the chaos, over 460 individuals were relocated to an old hospital building, where they faced a severe shortage of essential resources. The health ministry reported that those displaced were "without food, without milk for children, and a severe shortage of water," painting a grim picture of the humanitarian crisis unfolding.

#3  The Times of Israel expands some points from Grim’s link:

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari announced that troops detained dozens of terror suspects at Nasser Hospital. He said among those detained at the hospital were a Hamas ambulance driver who participated in the October 7 onslaught, another suspect who admitted to having taken part in the attacks, and a PFLP operative.

During an evening presser, Hagari said troops also found weapons, including explosives and mortars, within the premises of Nasser Hospital. Last month, a rocket was fired from the hospital at troops in Gaza.

The IDF said Hamas maintained a command room, an intelligence and interrogation complex, and a cop shoppe at Nasser Hospital.

The IDF also released footage from the interrogation of a captured Hamas operative, who said that at least 10 hostages were held at Nasser Hospital.

While displaced Gazooks sheltering on hospital grounds were ordered to leave, Hagari said that over the previous few days the army had made it clear to hospital staff that "there is no obligation for patients or staff to evacuate the hospital."

"We have doctors and Arabic-speaking IDF officers on the ground to communicate to the staff and patients inside the Nasser hospital. Our message to them is clear: We seek no harm to innocent civilians. We seek to find our hostages and bring them home. We seek to hunt down Hamas bully boyz wherever they may be hiding," he added.

In addition, the IDF has facilitated the transfer of medical supplies, oxygen tanks, and fuel for electricity to the hospital in recent days, "to ensure its essential functions continue uninterrupted," he said.
